Janelle Woith: Splash Pool

Janelle signs a second no-application control north of Mackinaw, owner and operator both. The committee funds her two-control alkalinity line and, the same night, miner-paid TileTap pods. At the first fall storm she finds the 0611 pod drinking from the splash pool, where degassed water reads a quarter pH high; the pod's agent tells her to recalibrate. At harvest the carbon tile shows the pod in green and her bottles in gray, and she decides not to fix their hose for them.
